Bird's Eye View -- revisited!

Well, I tried starting this blog a couple of years ago (hard to believe it's been that long) and didn't make it past the first entry. I've decided to resurrect it once again in hopes of giving you an inside look at Nightflyer -- the band, the guys, the myth, the legends! Ha! Totally kidding there. If you are lucky enough to know these guys personally, you know they are incredibly humble and down-to-earth. And if you know me at all (and plan on spending any time reading this blog) you might as well get used to me being goofy and very tongue-in-cheek. While we're on the subject, I write very stream-of-consciousness with tons of ramblings and asides. Try to keep up. :)

Enough about me, we're here to talk about Nightflyer (Oh, one last thing..this is Lyn Hayes, Rick the mandolin player's wife). So, the purpose of this blog is to give you updates and insights on the band. It is in blog format so please feel free to comment at the end of each post. Feel free to let me know what you would like to know about. I might as well tell you in advance I can control what gets posted, so if you have helpful honest "suggestions" please feel free to share, but know that I was raised with an "if you can't say something nice, don't say it" doctrine so be forewarned. For those of you who follow the band on facebook, I will post a notice that a new blog is up, but you will have to visit us here to read it. Facebook is a great tool but you never know what they are going to do with it next, so I would rather our website be homebase.

SO, 2014 looks to be an even more exciting year for the band! We busy filling up the schedule and are most excited about working on a new CD that we hope to release in the spring! More on that later, but for now we wish you all a Happy New Year and wonderful 2014!

Our next show is this Saturday, at Western Brown High School in Mt. Orab, OH. Check the schedule page for details and we hope to see you there!
